Forbidden Fruit Winery is a family owned and operated boutique winery located on Ven’Amour Organic Farms, a Certified Organic Tree Fruit Farm, Vineyard and Nature Estate along the banks of the pristine Similkameen River in Cawston BC. The Winery produces small lots of premium award winning tree fruit wines and grape wines from Similkameen and Okanagan fruit. Wines styles include dry to medium dry table wines, late harvest style dessert wines, fortified mistelles, ports, and ice wine. The wine shop- tasting room is located directly overlooking the River, with an adjoining licensed picnic area and in shop art gallery, that highlights Valley inspired works of art and jewellery.

With 28 acres of orchards and vineyards and over 30 years of organic farming experience, Forbidden Fruit Winery uses only Certified Organic and Sustainable farmed fruit and production practices to handcraft the finest, purest and environmentally sensitive wines. The winery is also a Conservation Partner with the Land Conservancy of BC protecting the ecologically sensitive land on the farm, including a rare old growth riparian forest and it’s desert steppes. Both the Winery and the Farm are annually fund raising for initiatives addressing Global Sustainability and Bio- diversity.

The winery’s name ‘Forbidden Fruit’ is a reflection on the Story of Creation and the Garden of Eden, plus the past status of Organic Products and Fruit Wines, both being categorized, at times, as being only for the ’Hobbyist’. However, Like Eve in the Garden, once tasted, “a new empowerment is realized”.
